Please see below for forwarded tips from the BeST Center for using CBTp-informed strategies to provide care during the COVID-19 outbreak: In response to questions and concerns we at the Best Practices in Schizophrenia Treatment (BeST) Center were getting from our partners, we created two resources specifically for helping people affected by schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses. We are sharing these resources with the PEPPNET community to assist you with continuing to provide quality care during this stressful time. This tip sheet identifies common and potential issues that may affect those with psychotic illness and offers a review of a few helpful CBT-p informed strategies and resources. While some of the strategies in this document require prior training in CBT-p, most of the information is fairly straightforward. The BeST Center’s website offers guidance, tips and resources about maintaining good mental health and information about virtual learning opportunities for mental health professionals during this time of physical distancing.
