Survey Question
It takes a village! Any other local groups that have come forth to provide additional help with coordination and supports, which benefits the team and/or clients served? Any specific supports being provided by local trainers, technical assistance groups? Please describe.
There were 41 responses to this question, of those 31 did not know of any other local groups or supports. Much has changed in the last 15 days. Where have you seen community partners rise up to support the community?
Here is a quick summary of survey responses related to this topic (emphasis added by me):
- Community foundations are opening up grant opportunities to assist with emergency funding demands to cope
- Staff family members have been offering help wherever they can.
- NAMI, county government, managing entity for DCF dollars
- None, in fact feels isolated. Behavioral health is expected to continue to the best of its ability, putting workforce members at risk. I'm unaware of any outside support to behavioral health agencies.
- UW (I assume the University of Washington)
- Local hospital
- No. We have contacted Virginia department of health requesting PPE and some basic training regarding infection control. We have not had a response yet.
- DC has a large homeless population. The shelters, soup kitchens and other social service agencies are collaborating at this time to support this population
