Hello, I thought it would be a good idea to get a thread going where we introduce ourselves, where we are working and any ideas that you have for discussion.
My name is Jeff Roskelley, I'm a clinical social worker and my primary areas of professional competencies are in co-occurring disorders and cognitive behavioral therapy. I started out my PACT journey as the co-occurring specialist for a PACT team here in Bellingham, WA and am currently training and consulting for the University of Washington.
Right now my primary concern has been the increased likelihood of withdrawal or risky behavior around drug seeking during social distancing. I was happy to see a thread already posted on this, so I know I'm not alone. Related is increased risk of suicide, as frequently suicidal ideation increases with both withdrawal and with social isolation. I'm curious if any of you have seen this and how you have been handling it.
Looking forward to meeting all of you, let's definitely share whatever collective wisdom we have as a group.
